Here are just a few of our specialties:

Veneers - are very strong, thin shells of porcelain or acrylic that are permanently bonded to your natural teeth. They can be used to repair major chips and decay, unsightly stains and fillings, and even to close gaps between teeth. With a bit of shaping, veneers can also fix the appearance of crowded or overlapped teeth. The best part is that veneers require little or no tooth preparation. Veneering usually takes two appointments.

Crowns - Damaged teeth can be restored - improving their strength, appearance, and longevity - with individually custom-fitted and manufactured porcelain crowns. This allows us to achieve the tone and contour of your natural teeth. All-porcelain crowns have a natural translucency that makes them hard to tell from your other teeth.

Bridges - to replace a missing tooth with a conventional bridge, teeth adjacent to the space are prepared. The bridge is custom made to your teeth and mouth. Once bonded in place it is almost impossible to tell the difference between the bridge and your natural teeth.

Implants - Dentures and bridges have significant drawbacks, and never truly duplicate the appearance and feeling of your natural teeth. A dental implant is a titanium metal replacement for a root of a tooth that is surgically implanted in the jawbone. Implants replace missing teeth with permanent, natural-looking substitutes. There is a surgical and prosthetic visit. After the surgical appointment, there will be a waiting period of 4-6 months depending on the surgical site, and after the healing period, impressions will be taken for a final prosthetic -either a crown, bridge or an over-denture.

Benefits of Implants
- Healthy teeth are not "cut down" in order to accommodate the replacements.
- Implants are clinically proven, with a success rate in excess of 90%.
- Implants have no clasps that cause damage to remaining natural teeth.
- Implants help stop the progressive bone loss and shrinkage of your jawbone by "mimicking" the roots of natural teeth.
- Implants improve speech by eliminating or reducing the "fullness" of full or partial dentures.
- Implants replicate the look, feel and function of your natural teeth.
- Implants will not move or loosen.
- No adhesives are required.
- Painful, inflamed gums are eliminated.
- Proper chewing function is restored so you can enjoy foods too difficult to eat with traditional replacements.

Root canals - are one of those dental terms that are often not talked about, but less often understood. Many people think it's a painful and mysterious dental secret. The truth is that modern root canal treatment can be performed with little or no discomfort and can be credited with saving more teeth than almost any other treatment in our office. Sometimes gum disease, a fractured tooth or decay under very old fillings can cause these nerves and vessels to become painfully infected and die. Years ago this condition often meant extracting the tooth. But today we use root therapy to treat the infected canal and save the tooth.

Zoom!2 In Office Teeth Whitening - is the newest, fastest technology to whiten your teeth. In just over an hour, you will leave with a brighter smile that makes you look great, feel better and glad to smile like never before!

Whitening technology has come a long way in the last decade. With the proper whitening approach and a healthy mouth, tooth whitening is very safe. Take home whitening trays- can be used with or without the Zoom! The take home trays give similar results to the Laser, but do take approx. 2-3 weeks to achieve it. The trays can also be used to touch up your smile, after Zoom, if you notice the teeth starting to yellow due to coffee or tobacco stains.

Invisalign® - uses a series of nearly undetectable aligners instead of brackets and wires. So up close it's really hard for people to tell you're wearing Invisalign. This treatment can give you the smile you've always wanted without braces you've always avoided. Because there are no metal wires and brackets, Invisalign is more comfortable than traditional braces. And because they are removable, eating, brushing and flossing are no problems. With Invisalign, there's nothing to hide.

Fillings - Silver amalgam fillings have been used for over 150 years. The silver tends to discolor and turn gray or black. Metallic fillings are very durable, strong and last a long time. However, more tooth structure must be removed to retain these fillings and they do not bond to the tooth. Leaving the possibility for recurrent decay and leakage.

White fillings are composite fillings. Composites are even stronger than amalgams in tensile strength, which makes them better for overlaying large biting areas. Composite fillings bond directly to the tooth allowing the Dentist to remove less tooth structure. Some fillings are so small that anesthetic does not have to be used to prepare the tooth. These fillings are tooth colored allowing for a more esthetic appearance.

Night guards - since most of the damage typically caused by bruxism is done during sleep, a night guard can usually be made to stop further damage. A night guard is custom made to fit over the upper or lower teeth. With the night guard in place, the patient can't grind their teeth together and cause further damage.

Gum treatment - is the treatment of active gum and bone disease. Gum disease treatment can slow or stop the progression of gum disease. Since there are different stages of gum disease (from gingivitis to advanced periodontitis), there are different levels of treatment. In some cases, the patient may be referred to a specialist.
Scaling and Root Planing is a common non-surgical treatment for periodontal disease. By using special instruments, we remove bacteria and infection from the unhealthy deep pockets around the teeth below the gum line. This is often referred to as a "deep cleaning."

Wisdom teeth - or third molars are the last teeth to develop in the mouth - usually appearing behind the upper and lower second (or 12-year) molars. The average mouth is made to hold only 28 teeth. It can be painful when 32 teeth try to fit in a mouth that holds only 28 teeth. Depending on how impacted the teeth are, we may remove them here or refer you to an Oral Surgeons office.

Sealants - The most common area for children to get decay (like most adults) is on their permanent back teeth (molars). The molars have very deep grooves and pits on the chewing surfaces. No matter how well your child brushes, it is nearly impossible to remove all of the bacteria from these grooves and pits. Sealants are a white or tooth shaded material that is bonded to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth, sealing off deep grooves and pits. This makes the grooves of the teeth smoother so your toothbrush can more easily keep the tooth clean. The procedure is "child-friendly" because there is no need for anesthetic or drilling. Sealants are recommended for all children when they get their permanent first molars (around 6 years of age) and when they get their permanent second molars (around 12 years of age).
